What I do

I work as a fixer, guide and location specialist for visiting photographers, filmmakers, media crews and outdoor brands. I plan the route and each day around the light, arrange the permits and the people, and look after the crew’s safety and acclimatisation in the mountains.

What I don’t do

I do not photograph or film for clients. You bring your own cameras, drones and creative team, and you operate them. My own cameras are for my own work.

Permits

Personal photography usually needs only the normal park permits. Commercial filming, documentaries and drones need government clearances and, often, village approvals, which I arrange before you arrive. Read more in my guide to drone permits in Nepal.

The cost

Every project is different: the route, the days, the gear and the permits. Write to me with your plan and I will send an honest quote. Permits, porters, lodging and transport are paid at cost.

Do you photograph or film for clients?

No. My own cameras are for my own work. I work as your fixer, guide and location specialist; you bring and operate your own equipment.

Can outdoor brands test gear and shoot in Nepal?

Yes. You bring your gear, clothing and creative team; I guide you to the locations, high or low, and look after safety on the trail.

How do you plan around the light?

I set the daily pace and the stops so you reach the viewpoints at sunrise, golden hour and the clearest times of day.

Can you find porters for camera gear?

Yes, experienced porters, with padded, weather-resistant cases for lenses, tripods and drones.

Do I need a permit to film or fly a drone?

Personal photography usually needs only park permits. Commercial work and drones need government clearances, which I arrange before you arrive.
