We were blessed to have you!!! What made Rujan so special was his quiet demeanour and his genuine warmth. He had a wonderful ability to analyze all of us without us even knowing, sensing when we were tired, needed a break, or were perhaps less interested in an activity. He understood that travel is not just about seeing places, but about knowing when to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. We were all pretty tired after an extensive and busy trip to Bhutan. It started to show just when we got to Nepal. Rujan was generous with his time, allowing us extra opportunities to take in those special moments that often became our most treasured memories. Each of us had varied interests. His warmth and kindness were especially evident in the way he connected with our host family at the homestead, showing a genuine appreciation and respect for their hospitality and way of life. He was constantly translating so we got to know each member of the family. He, himself, looked like he enjoyed getting to know them as much as all of us. What stood out most was his sincere interest in every person in our group. He took the time to get to know us individually, appreciating our different personalities, interests, strengths, and differences. He was much more than a guide; he was a thoughtful, perceptive, and genuinely caring person who helped make our journey meaningful. His quiet presence, flexibility, and authentic interest in people enriched our experience in ways that went far beyond the places we visited. We even talked about him after leaving the tour and certainly his generous and kind personality did come up. Rujan…you did become family in our short few days! Wouldn’t it be fantastic if our paths cross some day especially in Canada. My many thanks to you for making my shirt trip to Nepal special for me. From the “senior” one on the tour!
